Whoa ... that sounds crazy! I have a handful of pieces that I have always wanted to learn from the beginning of this journey and some I have found along the way. I have 2 that are still a bit out of reach.

Grade 4 class will continue until April of this year, so I am going to work on the easiest of these "dream pieces" while that class is still in session and save the more difficult ones for later in the year.

  1. Scarborough Fair - arr. Anne Crosby Gaudet

  2. Linus & Lucy - Vince Guaraldi

  3. May the Force - John Williams arr. John Brimhall

  4. Yesterday - arr. Moritz Heller

  5. Lonely Man - arr. Moritz Heller

  6. In the Shadow of the Moon – Oliver Muxworthy

  7. Across the Stars (John Williams - Star Wars)

  8. Heartstrings - DM Studio Sheet Music

  9. The Vague Something Behind Everything - Greg Harradine (composed for me)

I also have some goals and aspirations for improving Technique and Sight Reading. And want to develop some musicality with improvisation, Jazz and Blues:

  • Play a chord progression with fills and dynamic contrast for 2 minutes

  • Play from a lead sheet and arrange the left hand with patterns

  • Play with a backing track (I did do this for December 2024 but it was quite difficult)

  • Learn the 12 Bar Blues progression and some riffs

  • Learn some Jazz Standards
